How dates and times are displayed in chats and how the waiting time indicator lets you know how many seconds contacts have been waiting
Date display rules
Both date and time of each chat message are displayed in the chat flow.
As a chat starts, you will see the date at the top of the chat (1). With each message, the time of the message will be displayed (2 and 3)
Notes
- If the date is prior to the current date, the time of the message appears only when you place your cursor beneath the message.
- Any time less than eight hours ago is shown relatively (e.g. "a few minutes ago", "3 hours ago" etc)
Contact waiting time indicator
While handling multiple chats simultaneously, you will inevitably want to understand who is waiting the longest for a reply from you.
We have solved this by adding a color indication on the contacts message indicator.
The indicator changes color according to the number of seconds the visitor has been waiting for a response:
Green |
0-15 seconds |
|
Yellow |
16-30 seconds |
|
Pink |
>31 seconds |
|
Using our /next command will allow you to automatically jump to the longest waiting Contact. Nifty, right?
